When my mother died, my brother and I had to leave school as we could no longer afford it. My brother went to work and I looked after the household. Money was so tight I was going to have to try and get work in the big city, but for most girls my age, the kind of work that is available would be to sell my body. Thanks to the wonderful help we received, I was granted an educational scholarship so that I could attend school and get the education I needed. Tulkimaya, 15yrs old. Nepal.
